If your Library has ReferenceUSA ask if they have contacted their ReferenceUSA Rep about a Hidden Jobs Workshop -- here's a success story that shows using this resource and adapting a new strategy really works! http://tiny.cc/YnVXl Hey GTW – thanks for acknowledging ReferenceUSA as an awesome resource for anyone looking to find the Hidden Job market – and RE: getting back to the basics and running spell check – as a tip to your readers, use ReferenceUSA to verify contact coordinates (Address/Phone) are correct. Comment on Where are the jobs? by Jim http://go-to-work.com/blog/2008/12/06/where-are-the-jobs/comment-page-1/#comment-9 Jim Wed, 31 Dec 2008 20:01:29 +0000 http://go-to-work.com/blog/?p=44#comment-9 Was this a stumper? Maybe nobody knows or nobody cares, but I stumbled upon a database that will direct you to all the employers in any category in any specific area. The benefit is that you can find "all" the employers in any specific area that need your skills. For example, if you want an engineering job, you can filter the search to find all the engineering firms under a specific zip code. Here it is: www.ReferenceUSA.com. You can use it FREE if your local library subscribes to it. You can use it at the library, and also may be able to use it at home. Call your library to find out. To search, go the the www.referenceUSA.com site, then at top select the drop down menu for "Select a Database to Search" Then select "US Businesses", the select "Custom Search." Good luck to everyone. Was this a stumper? Maybe nobody knows or nobody cares, but I stumbled upon a database that will direct you to all the employers in any category in any specific area. This would be a period of stress because change or the thought of change is always stressful. That's why it is important to keep your mind positive. There are many websites and books that can help. One I've found is the advice of Jim Rohn. One of the techniques of successful people is to program themselves (like a coach) to keep thinking positively. Here is a link that can give you some inspiration and insight to what I mean. http://www.success.com/lessons/ Whether you currently have a job or not, most everybody desires a promotion or change at some point.
